Video and creative tools for Claude-made motion
These are the engines and editors that turn an agent's code into a video file. Most draw a page or a scene frame by frame and encode it to MP4: HyperFrames renders HTML, Remotion renders React, and Motion Canvas, Manim and ManimGX suit explanatory and math animation. Others are editors an agent can drive, such as OpenChatCut, Open Edit and an MCP server for After Effects. Some come from companies that sell related services, such as HeyGen (HyperFrames) and VEED (Open Edit); their cards say so.
How to choose: pick the renderer that matches what your agent writes. If it works in HTML and CSS, start with HyperFrames; if your team writes React, Remotion; for equations and graphs, Manim or ManimGX. Then check the licence. HyperFrames is Apache-2.0. Remotion is free for individuals, non-profits and companies of up to 3 employees, but larger for-profit companies need a company licence.
A listing here is not a security audit. Read each tool's README and install steps before you run it.

HyperFrames
HeyGen's open-source framework that renders HTML, CSS and seekable animation to MP4, with seven agent skills: hyperframes, hyperframes-cli, hyperframes-registry, media-use, figma, slideshow and remotion-to-hyperframes. Still pre-1.0 (v0.8.x on 27 Oct 2026); local renders are free, while cloud renders and HeyGen media services are optional.

Remotion
Create and render programmable videos with React compositions.
Motion Canvas
Create code-driven animations and explanatory videos with a visual preview editor.
Manim
A Python animation engine for mathematical and explanatory videos.
ManimGX
Academa's animation engine for agents: Manim's Python API on a Rust and wgpu core, rendering math and 3D scenes to MP4, installable from a prompt or pip, and able to run in the browser. The README's speed figures are the authors' own benchmark.

- Licence
- MIT for ManimGX's own code, but the README says its native wheels include x264 and are GPL-3.0-or-later as a whole; bundled components and fonts keep their licences, and its FFmpeg code is LGPL-2.1-or-later.
- Install
pip install manimgx

Open Edit
VEED's open-source editing pipeline: describe the edit and the agent transcribes, composes captions or motion graphics as HTML, renders and checks the MP4. Local WhisperX transcription is free; VEED's hosted transcription needs a veed.io account (the README says the free tier covers about ten minutes a month), and VEED's generation tools are billed in credits.
